Face it

It may dim your light like a shadow,

it may haunt you like a beast,

cold as ice your thoughts to freeze,

it may tighten it's hold with no release.

We all face fears of many kinds

but there is no worse fear

 than that inside our minds.

There in the darkness, it remains faceless

invisible, untouchable and traceless.

Like a pit bull, it wants to chase us,

stop and turn, with fierce eye

contact make it squirm,

pierce its power and force it to flee,

chase it fast until you are free.

For fear knows only how to follow,

it has no potent power of its own,

like a sling without a stone,

don't it give the right your mind to own,

make it your slave and take your throne,

for all along you were not alone.

You will look again

 it will have disappeared,

for God 's help is real,

and He knows no fear.
